I was reminded of Dan again today. I don't know how long I will think about
his influence and the things he did but I had the opportunity to shake someone's
hand today. They had a firm handshake, almost like my grandfather used to have
when he tried to squeeze your hand when you weer little and you would wriggle
all around and try to get out of it. Dan wasn't trying to make you wriggle,
but he had the grippiest, arm-shaking-est, honest-to-goodness handshake you
would ever want to meet. You knew that Dan would probably seal big business
deals not
with contracts and paperwork but with that handshake.
